Lewis M. Wallensky, Certified Financial Planner™, founded Lewis Wallensky & Associates in 1968 to provide independent financial planning.

 
For 25 years he  served on the Advisory Board at UCLA  where he taught over 1,200 students preparing to take their CFP® exams.  He served on the CFP® Board of Standards and was elected to five terms on the National Board of Directors of the International Association for Financial Planning.

He has been a popular speaker at UCLA, USC, many professional organizations, as well as National and Regional Conferences for the Financial Planning Association. 

Mr. Wallensky is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a BS in Industrial Engineering.  He earned the CFP® designation in 1977 from the College for Financial Planning.  He was invited by the Japanese Association of Financial Planners to present a series of lectures and was awarded an honorary license to practice financial planning in Japan.    
 
Mr. Wallensky has appeared as a guest on the Financial News Network and NBC Nightly News.   He is consulted often as a reference source for periodicals including The Los Angeles Times, Money Magazine, and Physicians Management, and has been featured in many other industry publications.

Andrea Spatz, Certified Financial Planner™, joined the firm in 1993 after completing the program in Personal Financial Planning  at UCLA.
 
Before working with individual clients on their personal financial planning needs, Andrea was a Vice President at Bank of America and Security Pacific National Bank where she advised institutional investment managers on their fixed income portfolios.
 
Ms. Spatz is often consulted to provide a woman's perspective and has been featured in The Los Angeles Times Money-Makeovers.

She has been a faculty member at UCLA in their certificate financial planning program and a speaker for many audiences including Fortune 500 corporations, the Development Corporation for Israel, human resource consultants, and other professional and civic groups.

Andrea graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, Phi Beta Kappa, in economics and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She was awarded the CFP® designation in 1993.   She holds Series 7, 24, and 66 Securities Licenses and is a licensed insurance agent in the state of California.

Andrea is married and has two very independent adult children.

Grant Wallensky, Financial Services Assistant,

joined the firm in 2010 after completing his Bachelors Degree in Economics, with a concentration in Finance and Business Policy, at Emory University, Atlanta, GA.


Before joining Wallensky Spatz & Associates, Grant worked with financial advisors at National Planning Corporation as an intern in the Strategic Business Unit, where he assisted financial planning practices in building strategic business plans for their firms.

At Emory, Grant was the Managing Editor of the Emory Political Review, a nonpartisan student publication covering current events. Grant is currently enrolled in the Personal Financial Planning program at UCLA and holds his Series 7 license.

 

 

Tonya Leonard, Administrative Assistant, joined the firm in 2018. She may be your first point of contact when you call or come to our office!

For more than 15 years she has provided executives and business owners with unwavering administrative support. She has a strong ability to maximize efficiency, lead projects to completion, and foster professional relationships with clients and organizations.

Tonya is currently enrolled in the Survey of Personal Financial Planning at UCLA. She holds her Life and Health Insurance license in the state of California. Tonya moved to Los Angeles from Honolulu in 2013 and has a nine-year-old son.
